Love is always around

“Honey, love is always around you in more ways than you can imagine. It may not be in the form and shape that you wish, but it’s always around. Love changes form just as much as you change in life. If you have not heard it today, I love you. You are enough.”

She bounced back and became happy again. She found success once more. She fell in love again.  Though it took her 3 years. Credits to every human who checked in on her during that time. Bless the souls of the people who did not give up on her when she shut the rest of the world out. Credit to the people who loved her in the moments she felt unlovable, unworthy.

Heartbreak, loss, failure, change. It hits you so hard and you will fall so fast. You will hit rock bottom. You will shatter to a thousand pieces. At this point, it’s not about getting back up, it’s about the people who sit with you in your misery until you are ready and willing to try again. It’s about those who remind you of the person you were beforehand.

The people who hand you pieces of themselves until you are able to put yourself back together again. In love lost, there is truly so much more found.  See, she is a very vulnerable person when it’s safe to trust and when she trusts, she feels safe to love and when she loves, she does so very deeply. Her biggest lesson in all of this was learning how to balance when and where to apply it all. Too many times, she broke her own heart.

I hope that you realize that healing is not linear. In the process, be kinder to yourself. There are days that you are going to feel like it’s all behind. You finally moved on. You are over it. But then, there are days when the pain sneaks up on you from nowhere and suddenly, you are holding back tears, you are not yourself. You are lost in your thoughts with eyes that look down or away, a smile that takes a little effort, conversations that feel forced.

I hope that whenever your mind drifts away to, you will come back to us soon. It’s okay though. Healing is a process and the only way to get over anything is to go right through it. Ridding yourself of every emotion until you can step away from it. Once you do, I promise there will be a day you will look back at how far you have come, you hear their name and you do not even flinch.
